NANOTECHNOLOGY

Nanocellu-ar S.R.L. is an Argentine technology-based company (T.B.C.) located in the La Cantábrica Industrial Park, which, under a CONICET license, produces bacterial nanocellulose (NCB). This biodegradable and biocompatible biopolymer stands out for its resistance to high temperatures, high purity, and excellent thickening power. It is used in the paper, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and food industries, replacing other materials and improving the final product characteristics.

Nanocellu-ar S.R.L. is the first national company to produce and commercialize this input.

The use of nanotechnology also allows the production of more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly lubricating oils.

Our T.B.C. is the result of a joint project started in 2013 between WEST LUBRICANTES S.A.C.e.I and the Institute of Technology in Polymers and Nanotechnology (I.T.P.N.), with dual affiliation U.B.A. - CONICET. In 2019, the company was incorporated as S.R.L., with national private capital, and is currently incubated at F.A.N. with the purpose of characterizing the product.

We are proud to be at the forefront of technological development and research.
